Welcome

WELCOME TO THE KING GEORGE MEMORIAL HALL

The Residents of Hockley Heath are extremely fortunate to have been left, in Trust, the King George Memorial Hall.   The Hall is used for many village activities but is also available for private hire. It is used by the very young to the not so young. If you would like to know more about the Hall or would like to join any of its groups please contact us.

FACILITIES

The main Hall and smaller room (known as the Clinic) have recently been refurbished and it has also been fortunate in receiving a lottery grant to update the tables and chairs. The main Hall holds 120 people, it has a stage, recently refurbished wooden floor and enough tables and chairs to seat everyone. If you want to supply refreshments or prepare food for your function you can also use our kitchen which leads directly into the main Hall. The kitchen comes with a fridge, kettle, tea urn, microwave, oven and hob, cutlery and plates. You are welcome to bring your own drinks for personal consumption (not for resale) for your event but if you have more than 40 people attending we are able to open our bar for you. We have 3 draught beers and a draught cider plus a good range of spirits and other drinks. 10 years ago we had the hall adapted for disabled access; we have a large ramp at the front of the building, a low ramp accessing the Clinic from the main Hall and disabled toilet facilities. The kitchen only has a small entrance which may not accommodate some wheelchairs. The Clinic holds up to 30 people and can be used as a small meeting room or an extra room for larger parties where people may want a quiet area or a separate room to place the catering.
